The Broadcom Foundation and Society for Science & the Public announced the top winners of the 2018 Broadcom MASTERS on October 23. AlphaStar students Jack Albright and Espen Slettnes were awarded among 30 finalists.
Jack won the $20,000 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Award for Health Advancement with his project “Predicting the Future: Using Machine Learning to Forecast the Progression of Alzheimer’s Disease” and Espen won $3,500 first place award in Mathematics with his project “Minimal Embedding Dimensions of Rectangle k-Visibility Graphs”. Congratulations to both for their remarkable achievement!
