Inspiring Young Women to Become the Mathematical Leaders of Tomorrow
The Ninth annual Math Prize for Girls contest took place on Saturday, September 24, 2017 at MIT. 266 girls from across the US and Canada competed for $55,000 in cash prizes. Catherine (Katie) Wu (an 11th grader from California), Megan Joshi (a 12th grader from California), and Claire Zhou (an 11th grader from Texas) were top three winners.
The following A-Star alumni/students ranked in top 16 winners:
- Catherine Wu – 1st place
- Wanlin Li – 6th place
- Jocelin Su – 7th place
- Elizabeth Ke – 9th place
